Hoya makes premium filters. They select the best glass (Schott B270) and put their own coatings on it to maximize the clarity you receive when shooting with their filters. Although they are higher priced, creators love the quality you get from their filters. The leaves are greener, skies are bluer, and the beautiful rocks at the bottom of that secret mountain lake are revealed. These CPL’s are also great for removing reflections from car windows, painted surfaces, or just about any non-metallic surface. Depending on the lighting conditions the effect can be dramatic or subtle but it never hurts to pop it on and give it a try.

How to pick the correct filter size?
The filter thread size is actually different than the lens focal length. Usually, the filter thread size for your lens is printed on the front of the outer ring where your lens cap attaches, it'll look like øxx where xx is the filter size in millimeters.
